How are your gift baskets shipped?

We ship all of our gift baskets via UPS. We ship your basket as soon as possible unless there is a specific shipping date noted in the comments section of your order. The most common shipping methods are UPS Ground, 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day. Packages shipped to Canada will have a $35.00 shipping charge added to your total.

All orders placed with 3 Day, 2 Day or Next day air shipping by 1:00 PM CST ship the same day. Air orders placed after 1:00 PM CST ship the next business day. All ground orders are guaranteed to ship within one business day in other words 24-48 hours. Ground orders are not guaranteed to ship the same day. Ground orders placed Saturday and Sunday will ship Monday or Tuesday.
Saturday Delivery Saturday delivery is available only by shipping next day air on Friday and requesting Saturday delivery n the shipping comments. Standard air options deliver Monday thru Friday only. Saturday delivery is the cost of Next Day air service plus an additional $15.50 and again is by special request only. We do not offer 2nd day air Saturday delivery service except under special promotions and offers. Transit times do not  include the day a gift ships, Holidays, Saturday or Sunday.

As a reminder: Chocolate and perishable gifts need to ship via Next Day air May 15th through mid October. 

The following gift baskets are recommended to ship via Next Day air only during this time with an additional $7.50 surcharge for ice and cold wrap. Please specify you want the additional ice and cold wrap in the shipping comments area of your order. If you do not specify you want the ice we will not include it.

If you want to ship one of these gifts via ground we are more than happy to accommodate your request. You ship these gift at your own risk at all times from May through October. We do not offer refunds or discounts of any kind for melted or damaged chocolates even when they are shipped via air. We will of course add ice or cold wrap any time you wish to pay for it. But we can tell you the ice and cold wrap will not protect chocolate when an item sits in the heat for more than 1 day. It simply will not work and again we do not offer refunds or discounts on melted chocolate.

On all chocolate items, during May 15th thru mid Oct, we need to have the only option be next day air unless they are ok with swapping out chocolate for hard candy substitues.

Please use the following guidelines when ordering fruit.

Fruit: Please remember all fruit gifts have shipping restrictions.
Monday and Tuesday 3 day, 2 day and next day air shipping are the available options.
Wednesday 2 day or next day are the only options.
Thursday Next Day air is the only option
Any and all orders placed on Wednesday and Thursday with anything other than the options listed above will be held until the following Monday for shipping.
There is no shipping of fruit on Friday.(We do not offer Saturday delivery on Fruit)
Specialty Cookies, Strawberries & Apples 
Strawberries are only available with Next Day air shipping at a special rate of $39.99. Strawberries may not be shipped over the weekend.

Specialty Apples, Cookies & Strawberries are not available with ground shipping. These items ship from our CA warehouse and not MO. Specialty Apples may not ship over the weekend. Orders for Chocolate Apples, Caramel Apples or Strawberries placed with a  shipping method which will place them at UPS over a weekend will be held for shipping on Monday.

Important Shopping Note: Due to USDA or state-level Departments of Agriculture, some fruit items cannot be shipped to certain states. Please refer to the list below to guide you while shopping.

ID-no apples or pears shipping into ID

Sorry, we cannot ship fruit to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Puerto Rico, The Virgin Islands, to PO/APO/FPO addresses or any countries besides the US at this time.

Delivery period: So that fruit arrives in peak condition, it cannot spend more than 3 days in transit or sit around all weekend at the UPS facility. So please see below for guidelines on when your gift will be shipped and delivered. If you order does not meet the below guidelines we reserve the right to delay your shipping to insure fresh delivery of your gift.   • Orders placed online Thursday after 1:00 PM EST, Saturday, and Sunday through 1:00 EST on Monday will ship on Monday. Shipping options are 3-Day, 2-Day or Next Day service for those orders. (and ground to select zones. See the Map below for available ground delivery states.)
  • Orders placed by 1:00 EST Monday will ship on Tuesday. Shipping options are 3-Day, 2-Day or Next Day service for those orders. (and ground to select zones. See the Map below for available ground delivery states.)
  • Orders placed by 1:00 PM EST on Tuesday will ship on Wednesday. Shipping options are 2-Day or Next Day service for those orders.
  • Orders placed by 1:00 PM EST on Wednesday will ship on Thursday but the only shipping option is Next Day service.

Incorrect Shipping Address Charges

Please Verify your Shipping Information carefully

There will be a 15.00 address correction fee for orders to correct a bad address, incorrect zip codes, refused orders and non-deliverable address information supplied. We will send you an email once UPS and/or Fed Ex notify us that there is an issue with the address supplied.

If a package is returned to us by UPS due to a bad address, non-deliverable address or recipient refusal there is an a charge of 10.00 in addition to the address correction fee to cover return shipping and all of the charges UPS charges us due to this error.

Hospital Deliveries

Due to mailroom delays and unexpected early patient discharges, we do not recommend shipping gift baskets to hospitals.  It is usually better for all involved to ship get well gifts, surgery recovery baskets or new baby baskets to the patient's home address where they can enjoy your basket selection in the comfort of their own home.

Are your delivery times guaranteed?
Yes! Delivery Dates are guaranteed for Ground, 3 Day, 2 Day and Overnight. Please know that if the gift recipient is unavailable and UPS was unable to deliver the package, this does not qualify as a missed delivery. Also, circumstances beyond our control or UPS's, such as severe weather, natural disasters and so forth void any delivery guarantee.

Can I cancel or change my order?
We immediately process your order once it is submitted to make sure it gets to its intended recipient as soon as possible. For this reason an order can not be canceled or modified once it has been submitted.

Substitution Policy
On rare occasion we may run out of a specific item included in your gift. This can be due to many reasons as rest assured that this does not occur often but when it does we reserve the right to substitute an item of equal or greater value.

Damaged Items:
If an item is damaged upon delivery please make sure UPS is notified about the damages and contact us so we can quickly resolve the issue. The customer is responsible for reporting these damages to UPS.

What if we get an incorrect or incomplete Address?
Remember - we ship to the EXACT address you provide us. If a gift basket is shipped to an incorrect or inaccurate address then it is not our liability if it is returned to us please contact us so we can resolve the issue. Unfortunately, UPS charges us a return shipping fee. We in turn will have to charge you this fee which is at minimum $15. 
Once a package is picked up by UPS with an incorrect or incomplete address there is little we can do. On occasion we can reroute a package to the proper address if we are notified in time. There is a $15 fee for an address correction when a package is in route. Unfortunately this correction is not always successful and may be returned to us. UPS does not always notify us to inform us that there is a problem delivering the package and we often do not find out there is an issue until the package is returned. In these rare instances, we ask for your patience and understanding and promise in return to do everything in our power to make sure your gift arrives in perfect condition and as soon possible (within reason).

Manufacturers Defects. If a Gift Basket appears to have a manufacture’s defect, we will make every effort to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Do not return gift basket to us without first notifying the freigth carrier. If any gift basket is to be returned to us due to manufactures defect, you must first call the freight carrier to verify. Credit, refunds, or reshipment will only be issued if the damage Gift or discrepancies can be verified by freight carrier.
